FAQ

Who am I?

I’m a non-native chinese speaker who entered the realm of translation after stumbling upon R:DSAT, a beautiful novel in dire need of a full translation to get wider recognition. Translating it was a lot of fun, and it served not only as a means to enhance my Chinese skills but also as a way to express gratitude to the wonderful community of translators which introduced me to the world of danmeis.

What should you know about these translations?

I invest a significant amount of time and effort in research to ensure the accuracy of my translations, but my proficiency is ultimately reliant on cultural understanding and the quality of my sources. I therefore apologize in advance for any occasional mistranslations, missed puns, or cultural nuances that may elude me. With each novel I delve into, I hope to improve my familiarity with chinese culture and minimize inaccuracies. If you are a native chinese speaker, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you notice any mistake!

Additionally, it’s important to clarify that I do not hold the rights to the original material as a fan translator. These translations are a labor of love, but they may be subject to removal upon request from the author or upon announcement of an official translation. Thank you for your understanding.

How to support the authors?
